MCKENZIE'S GRADUATION DAY!
CONGRATULATIONS TO MCKENZIE!! She graduated on April 22nd from Weber State University with her nursing degree. She has worked hard and has really enjoyed her time learning all the ins and outs of becoming an R.N. We had a fun time attending a dinner recognizing all the graduating nursing students from the WSU/USU campus and then watching her "walk" thru graduation ceremonies and receiving her diploma. We are so proud of her and know she will be a fabulous nurse. Way to go McKenzie!

April Showers
Yesterday we had this most distressing day in April so far: snow! Although it was very beautiful, it was crazy that this madness continues. I am pretty sure that we'll still see those May flowers, it just now a matter of when? This year?

| The good news is that by late afternoon all of this had melted and we were back to green grass. |

Lindsey is Two
Today is Lindsey's second, I mean 2nd, I mean she is two birthday! How can the last two years sped by so quickly? She is charming, sassy, bold, and darling. She is happy and giggly. She loves being the youngest of a busy household and is adored (most of the time!) by her older brothers and sisters. She is just a little piece of heaven in our family and we are simply crazy about her and grateful that she is here and in our family!
Here's to you Lindsey!

Directing the Lord's Work
Currently, my calling in our ward is to teach the Gospel Doctrine class. I am always seeking to learn more and to understand what it is I should share and to teach to those members and friends that may be my class.
The lesson this Sunday is "They Straightway Left Their Nets." This is about Jesus Christ calling his Twelve Apostles and also his announcing that he is indeed the Messiah, the One that has been prophesied of and the One that they have been waiting to come.
The Church has so many marvelous aids to help us in our own study and in further magnifying our calling as we all strive to come unto Christ. That is what it is all about.
This interview with Elder David A. Bednar, an Apostle of the Lord, is perfect for more understanding; I am going to share this with my class tomorrow, I also wanted to share this with you as well and hope that you, as I have, will have your own testimony strengthened about these men and His work.

Welcome Elder Jones
We here who are in living and yes, surviving and thriving!) in the Central Plains aka the frozen land, want to extend a huge (Brrrrrrr) welcome to Elder Cole Handy Big Boy Jones. What a delight it will be to have him near! He is fearless and resolute about his commitment as a representative of the Savior. And, his Mommy (and Daddy) have prepared him both spiritually, emotionally, and well, yes temporally! Hurray for long unders, warm boots, warm coats, hats, gloves/mittens, woolen socks. Ain't it a great thing?

Oh The Weather Outside is Frightful
It's a sick thing: we who are living in Minnesota revel in telling the rest of the (warm) world of the temperatures we are surviving! Today the temperature reads -21 degrees. Well, that is warm considering that temperature is without the wind chill factor. It's bizarre.
This is what a sub zero day looks like from my front door: pink sky. Who would know that the temperature reads -21 degrees?
Some of the news headlines this morning:

- Cold Temps. Won't Keep Fans from Pond Hockey Championships
