"Oh, I wonder what the poor people are doing!" Actually, not living in Paris! Way too expensive. But we enjoyed the famous Arc de Triomphe, built to commemorate Napolean's victories anyway. It was a great view from the top. The famous monument you've seen in all the newsreels stands at the head of the also famous Champs-Elysees, Paris' most fashionable boulevard. This is a time it would have been nice to be related to Warren Buffet!

On Monday, June 15 we spent the day at the Louvre. Holly's explaining to the girls this famous painting that just happens to be the cover of Cold Play's newest CD. Vive le Vida!

Here we are in the Residence palace in Munich. The royalty built their own Roman grotto and either plundered artifacts from Rome or had them reproduced. Ah, what a little money can buy for the idle rich!

The Handys on the famous bridge in Heidelberg with the castle in the background. We stayed here three nights and enjoyed the city very much. It was part of Stephanie's mission and she worked here on a trade-out with other sister missionaries. Very picturesque and charming. We'd like to go back again!

Here we are in the Darmstadt Ward where Stephanie served for nine months. They loved her and we enjoyed the members very much. This is the ward where President Uchtdorf is from and the site of his recent talk entitled, "Lift Where You Stand." Steve introduced himself and Greg auf Deutsch in priesthood meeting! That was too fun!
